Velvet Hammerschmidt designed this 77 room boutique hotel with echoes of Arts and Crafts, Asian, and Contemporary styles while at HLW International. With tired business travelers in mind, the hotel was designed to provide a calm and cozy atmosphere that evokes the comforts of home. Every interior design element was selected to encourage relaxation-from the warm oak hardwood floors to the teak furniture and luxurious fabrics. The inviting atmosphere is highlighted by the warm earth tones used throughout, creating a palette of peace.
The Ambrose 		The lobby and lounge of this modern international Santa Monica business hotel were dramatically transformed from their drab and outdated origins to comfortable and sophisticated interiors. A clean, subdued color scheme coupled with elegant furniture and rich fabrics generate a warm California-style welcome for the budget traveler.
