This contemporary loft was especially fun for us because it was a ground up project, and we were involved in designing every inch of it over the course of several years. The owners had extremely high standards and knew that they wanted something very special. Some of the lofts unique features include the following. It was designed as a “Smart Home” – lighting, fans, window treatments, HVAC, digital music and AV can all be controlled entirely via remote and integrated keypads. Bottom up shades and custom floor valances were designed to control urban views, provide privacy, and yet still allow for spectacular views and natural light. High-end finishes and furniture were featured. We designed a Bulthaup kitchen with an eleven-foot Cararra island, and incorporated end-grain wood floors, green onyx countertops, and custom-designed furniture and millwork.
